The BBC has commissioned a second series of BBC One sitcom King Gary.

The series, which launched at the start of 2020, stars Tom Davis as hapless nouveau riche building boss Gary King. Davis also co-writes the series with James De Frond. It also stars Simon Day as his father and Laura Checkley as Gary's social-climbing wife Terri.

The first run had mixed reviews but, according to Broadcast, the BBC has been encouraged by its catch-up numbers on iPlayer.
