Danny Baker is to head out on tour with veteran DJ "Whispering" Bob Harris. The dates were originally scheduled for 2020 but have now been moved to 2021/2022 - see below for ticket link and dates.

The show, entitled Harris and Baker's Backstage Pass, will find the two seasoned broadcasters reminiscing onstage about their lives in television and rock and roll.

Baker has already written about his extensive exploits in various books and talked about them on two sell-out solo tours but there are probably plenty more untold tales to come from this inveterate motormouth, who recently launched a new podcast.

On Twitter Baker teased fans by hints that: "Some dates will include appearances by 'heavy friends'."

When the tour was first planned pre-Covid Bob Harris explained on Instagram that they had already had a successful dry run: "A few weeks ago Danny Baker and I did a gig together at the @bewdleyfestival swopping (sic) stories and memories of our days in music, TV and Rock n Roll. The venue was packed, @robertplantofficial said it was one of the best shows he’d been to in years and we had so much fun we’ve now decided to take the whole thing out on the road."

According to the show's website, "they both have great memories (in both senses of that phrase). Make no mistake - rock and soul music really did have a golden age and here's two storytellers who were there all along the way. It's a really funny story (in both senses of that phrase too). Bob & Dan. They got beans. And they're gonna spill 'em. Harris & Baker's Backstage Pass. Hang onto your hats, kids. It's a rocking ride..."

Baker's solo shows lasted more than three hours, so it might actually be a case of hang onto your hats and also pack some sandwiches and a flask of tea.

The rescheduled dates now start on October 10 and currently run until May 15, 2022.
