News: Ricky Gervais Gets Animated In Scooby-Doo
Ricky Gervais appears as himself in an episode of the brand new Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?  Boomerang TV series, airing at 5pm on Monday 21st October.

The episode, entitled ‘Ollie Ollie In-Come Free!’, will follow the Mystery Inc. gang as they agree to help Ricky with an antique, and very haunted Egyptian statue of a cat (otherwise known as Bast), only to soon find themselves embroiled in a confrontation with the ancient goddess in mummy form!

Ricky Gervais commented on his involvement in the series:  “I love being able to play an exaggerated or twisted version of myself and I’ve always liked Scooby-Doo. It’s smart and there’s lots of different elements that make it clever. It’s very flattering to be approached to play yourself in an iconic cartoon.”

After launching on 1st October,  Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? is the first new series of Scooby-Doo in two years, and focuses on the beloved Mystery Inc. gang as they solve bigger and better mysteries than ever before, whilst encountering animated celebrity guests along the way - including the likes of global superstars, Sia and Halsey, and other fictional characters such as Batman, Sherlock Holmes and The Flash.

Ollie Ollie In-Come Free! is the seventh episode in the Boomerang series, and features everything we already know and love about Scooby-Doo - mystery, mayhem and of course, laughter!

Watch Ricky Gervais star in all new episodes of Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? At 5pm on Monday 21st October, exclusively on Boomerang.
