Comedian, actor and writer Ellie Taylor has announced she will be going on tour with her highly anticipated stand-up show, ‘Don’t Got This’, which goes nationwide this summer.
In her own words, “Heading around the UK in Sept’19, I’ll be banging on about life, love and what will happen if one more bloody person tells me I’ve ‘got this!”
This show comes fresh from Ellie recording a Netflix stand-up special ‘Cravings’, where she delivered some hilariously self-deprecating insights into marriage, pregnancy and parenting. Ellie has also been busy fronting a new weekly national radio show on Heart, hosting Live at The Apollo and appearing on the likes of QI, Would I Lie to You and Mock the Week, not to mention manning the news desk for another series of BBC2’s smash hit The Mash Report.
Her last stand-up show ‘This Guy’ was a sell-out smash hit at the Edinburgh Fringe 2017, leading to her third nationwide tour, which was extended into 2018 due to popular demand. Marriage and motherhood were high on the agenda in ‘This Guy’, with Taylor not shying away from discussing the nitty gritty of her recent marriage, while ironically being blunt about recoiling from any notion of parenthood.
A regular guest on panel shows including MOCK THE WEEK (BBC 2), WOULD I LIE TO YOU (BBC 1), and QI (BBC 2), Ellie has hosted LIVE AT THE APOLLO (BBC 2), as well as appearing on DARA O BRIAIN’S GO 8 BIT (Dave), ALAN DAVIES: AS YET UNTITLED (Dave), 8 OUT OF 10 CATS (C4), DRUNK HISTORY (Comedy Central), VIRTUALLY FAMOUS (E4) and THE JOHN BISHOP SHOW (BBC 1). She regularly appears on BBC Radio 4’s THE NOW SHOW, she was a team captain on GABY'S TALKING PICTURES (Radio 4) and has worked in the writer's room for I LIVE WITH MODELS (Comedy Central). Her acting credits include Gloria in PLEBS (ITV 2), JOSH (BBC), Poppy in BROTHERHOOD (Comedy Central), Christina in THE LODGE (Disney Channel), Tracey in FAMILY TREE (BBC 2) as well as a featuring in SICKNOTE (Sky 1).
The new tour kicks off in Epsom on 26 September 2019; taking in a total of 13 shows and finishes at The Wyvern Theatre in Swindon on 26 October 2019.
