Ricky Gervais is planning to do more low-key shows before the world tour of his next live show SuperNature.

Gervais tweeted that the bulk of the international arena dates will be in 2020 as he will be filming and editing the second series of After Life this autumn and winter, but he will be doing some smaller UK dates in late May and June.

Tickets for shows in Oxford, Manchester, Newcastle, Portsmouth, Bournemouth and Cardiff will go on sale this Friday at 10am here. Like his earlier warm-up shows they are expected to sell out extremely quickly so set your alarms.

Gervais has just finished the first draft of the second series of his acclaimed Netflix show After Life. He tweeted a picture of himself holding up a printout of the sctipt: "Writing is hard. Rewriting is fun. Drinking wine when you’ve just finished a first draft is fucking great."
