News: Dylan Moran, Shappi Khorsandi, Jimeoin, Nish Kumar, Rose Matafeo & More For First Croatian Comedy Festival

Dylan Moran, Shappi Khorsandi, Jimeoin, Nish Kumar, Rose Matafeo, Olga Koch, Kai Humphries, Javier Jarquin, Vlatko Štampar and Nikola Silić are among the acts at the first ever Comedy Fortress Festival in Croatia.

The festival takes place from 12th-14th July at the stunning open air stage of St. Michael’s Fortress, Šibenik, Croatia. Located in Central Dalmatia — Šibenik is approximately half hour from the Krka National Park and an hour from both Spilt and Zadar.

Rooted in a medieval fortress within the renaissance Croatian town of Šibenik, the first ever Comedy Fortress Festival will give audiences and comedians the full package – a comedy festival with great shows, excited audiences, and stunning views. Swim in the Adriatic, visit nearby islands, journey through the breath-taking scenery of the national parks, taste the best-of-the-best local seafood and enjoy top-class comedy in the evening. Summers don’t get better than this.

Festival headliners include impeccable stand-up craftsman Jimeoin and Dylan Moran with his acclaimed show, Doctor Cosmos. Shappi Khorsandi (Live at the Apollo, 8 Out of 10 Cats), Nish Kumar (The Mash Report), 2018 Edinburgh Comedy Award winner, Rose Matafeo and Edinburgh Comedy Award 2018 Best Newcomer Nominee, Russian comedian Olga Koch.

Other guests include English comedian Kai Humphries and Kiwi Javier Jarquin with his popular card-trick-with-comedy show, Card Ninja and two comics from the region are featuring – Croatian Vlatko Štampar, and Nikola Silić from Belgrade.

Comedy Fortress Festival is brought to you by Fortress of Culture - Šibenik, London Calling Comedy, Aquarius Records and Soho Theatre.

The nearest airports to the festival are Split and Zadar and local coaches run from the airports to the city, where you can catch services to Šibenik.
