Critically acclaimed animated comedy favourites BoJack Horseman and Archer will premiere on new free-to-air channel DMAX from February 25th, back-to-back on week nights from 11pm.

Taking place in a fictionalised version of Los Angeles where humans and animals live side-by-side, BoJack Horseman follows the day-to-day life and career of its alcoholic, self-loathing and washed up protagonist. Bitter, deeply depressed and disillusioned with ‘Hollywoo’ life, the former famous horse actor best known for his role in corny sitcom ‘Horsin Around’, spends his days lounging around his luxurious Hollywood bachelor pad, drinking heavily and binge eating, complaining about everything, and watching episodes of his old show.

BoJack is joined by a cast of characters including his pink Persian cat agent Princess Carolyn, freeloading human housemate Todd, the cynical but charming ghost writer Diane, plus former sitcom rival Mr. Peanutbutter, a yellow Labrador.

Will Arnett (Arrested Development, Blades Of Glory) voices the titular main character, while Alison Brie, Aaron Paul, Amy Sedaris, Stanley Tucci, Patton Oswalt, Rachel Bloom and Paul F. Tompkins also lend their voices to the show.

Also coming to DMAX is the hit animated comedy Archer. Starring H. John Benjamin (Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy), Archer, one of the most inventive and irreverent adult animations of the decade, follows the exploits of smart-mouthed super spy and chronic narcissist Sterling Archer, the self-proclaimed ‘world’s greatest secret agent.’

Joined by a host of characters and colleagues at the International Secret Intelligence Service – including Malory, his domineering and emotionally distant mother – the heavy-drinking Archer works tirelessly to confuse, undermine and betray his colleagues, as well as occasionally saving the world from time to time. Embezzlement, mind control, hangovers, and demented double crossings – they’re all in a day’s work in the outrageous comedy.

The two acquisitions come as part of DMAX’s new and exciting entertainment slate. DMAX, where ‘more is more,’ will air programme genres spanning survival, extreme lives, turbo and entertainment.

Other additions to the entertainment slate include a new series of British motoring hit Goblin Works Garage as well as extreme survival show Naked and Afraid and the UK premieres of icy Alaskan adventure series Life Below Zero, and cult culinary sensation Man Vs Food.

BoJack Horseman premieres Monday 25th February 11:00pm on DMAX

Archer premieres Monday 25th February at 11:30pm on DMAX

DMAX is available on Freeview 42, Sky 178, Freesat 150, Virgin 213
