News: Derry Girls Wins Broadcast Award

Channel 4 comedy Derry Girls has won the award for Best Comedy at the Broadcast Awards.

The comedy set during the troubles in Ireland and written by Lisa McGee was decribed by the judges as “an original take on the subject, with excellent cast and characterisation" and a “timely triumph”.

A second series airs this Spring.

This Country

The Windsors Royal Wedding Special

Stath Lets Flats

All Together Now, which is co-hosted by Rob Beckett in the UK won Best international programme sales.

Best entertainment programme was Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.

Best drama series or serial went to A Very English Scandal
