News: Rob Delaney, Sue Perkins, Aisling Bea, Mae Martin, Shappi Khorsandi, Alex Zane Added To Podcast Festival Line-Up

A new wave of special guests has been announced for the third annual London Podcast Festival 2018. Across two weekends (7-9 and 13-16 September), the world’s top podcasters will gather at Kings Place to present unique live versions of their hit shows and discuss the latest news and innovations in this booming art form.

Newly confirmed guests include:

  • Catastrophe star Rob Delaney appearing alongside Comedy Bang! favourite Tawny Newsome in improvised sketch comedy Superego (Fri 14 Sep)

  • Sue Perkins discussing the joy and art of comedy with Philomena Cunk writers Jason Hazeley and Joel Morris on Rule of Three (Fri 7 Sep)

  • Award-winning author and blogger The Slumflower on Alex Manzi's inspirational lifestyle show Dreamer's Disease (Thu 13 Sep) and a special version of regular live podcast show Standard Issue alongside Angela Barnes and Imriel Morgan (Sat 15 Sep)

  • Mae Martin on Cameron Esporito's Queery Live (Thu 13 Sep)

  • Tom Allen and Chris Neill getting a grilling on Dave Holms and Matt McConkey's queer comedy party Homophilia (Fri 14 Sep)

  • Shappi Khorsandi riding rough-shod over the events of the week in Jolyon Rubinstein's award-winning We Need To Talk About (Sun 16 Sep)

  • Edinburgh Festival Fringe Best Newcomer nominee Olga Koch and Robin Ince on Ed Patrick's Comedian's Surgery (Sat 8 Sep)

  • Alex Zane chatting Central Perk, Marcel the monkey and more on Friends With Friends (Sun 9 Sep)

They join a star-studded international line-up of top podcasters and performers including Bojack Horseman star Paul F. London-based podcast innovators appearing live include Annika Allen's Black Magic Network featuring former Team GB athlete and the first black Miss Universe Great Britain Dee-Ann Kentish-Rogers and the founder of Make Motherhood Diverse Candice Brathwaite on Thu 13 September and James Barr and Dan Hudson aka A Gay and A Non-Gay on Sat 8 Sep. The London Podcast Festival is also thrilled to be hosting Diversity: Just Do It - an unmissable panel event on Diversity: Just Do It on Sat 15 Sep– a frank, necessary discussion on diversity in the podcasting industry featuring David Lavas (Spoken Word Producer at Carousel Radio), Reju Sharma (Producer and CEO of Three Street Media), Tazer Black (Producer of The Receipts and 3 Shots Of Tequila Podcasts) and Sophie Herdman (UK Content Editor at ACAST).
