News: Spencer Jones Comes To BBC Two As Herbert Clunkerdunk

Following a one-off short earlier this year, another episode of The Mind Of Herbert Clunkerdunk, written by and starring BAFTA and 2017 Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Spencer Jones (Mister Winner, Upstart Crow), is coming to BBC Two on Thursday, 6 September at 9.45pm.

The Mind Of Herbert Clunkerdunk provides an introduction into the mind of Herbert Clunkerdunk as he talks to us down the lens of the camera and attempts to move around his everyday life - only to be constantly interrupted by his own imagination. Herbert has a big audition. His big chance to finally break out. We follow him as he wakes up, gets ready, takes the all-important call from his agent and begins to learn his lines and rehearse. Only, he can’t help but be distracted by his own imagination and the world around him. Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Lucy Pearman and Dominic Coleman (TrolliedPorridge) also star.

Spencer says: “I’ve been asked to say something for the press release quote, so I’ll say this: I’ve tried to make something funny with the BBC’s money. So a massive thank you to them and I hope more people like it than not. I’ll be on Twitter waiting with my family”.

The episode is directed by Jon Riche and produced by David Simpson for Tiger Aspect. The Executive Producer for the BBC is Kate Daughton.
