News: Edinburgh & London Shows for Anthony Jeselnik

The American comedian and creator of ‘The Jeselnik Offensive’ is coming to the UK for gigs in London and Scotland this August.

Anthony Jeselnik brings ‘Funny Games’ to the Leicester Square Theatre on 20th August. This is followed by two nights at the Assembly Hall at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival on 22nd & 23rd August.

Best known for his hit Netflix specials ‘Caligula’ and ‘Thoughts & Prayers’, as well his infamous Roasts of Donald Trump and Charlie Sheen, Anthony is the master of the perfectly crafted joke. His trademark in comedy is succinctly crafted set ups punctuated by misdirection and shock. Which pays off in a day and age where there have never been more lines to cross or things you’re not supposed to say. Topical and political he never shys away from addressing the taboo. Do not miss these rare UK appearances.

Anthony Jeselnik is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and starred in and created THE JESELNIK OFFENSIVE, which ran for two seasons on Comedy Central. He has written for and appeared on several roasts for Comedy Central, most notably THE ROAST OF DONALD TRUMP and THE ROAST OF CHARLIE SHEEN.  His many other TV performances include CONAN, THE TONIGHT SHOW, JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE and was the first ever stand-up comic to appear on LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON. He has also written for LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON and received an Emmy Nomination for his work on A NIGHT OF TOO MANY STARS: AN OVERBOOKED CONCERT FOR AUTISM EDUCATION.

In 2010, Anthony released his debut comedy album, SHAKESPEARE, through Comedy Central Records. In 2013, he released CALIGULA, his first hour-long special, to critical acclaim. Anthony hosted season nine of NBC’s LAST COMIC STANDING alongside judges including Norm Macdonald and Keenen Ivory Wayans. Anthony also received praise for his hour long special THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS, which was released by Netflix in 2015.
