News: Comedian Puts The Fringe In Edinburgh Fringe

Unlike most comedians who spend a fortune at the Edinburgh Fringe, James Meehan, in what he describes as a moment of madness, spent £3,000 to train as a barber. Now that he has graduated, he is planning on taking his new skill set to the Edinburgh Fringe this year for any comedian needing their hairline giving a trim for ten pound, with half the proceeds going to the male suicide prevention charity CALM.

Fellow comedian Rob Mulholland has already served himself up as the first prototype on the eve of a Tinder date, outcome yet to be confirmed. Update - Rob Mullholland has said on Facebook "we had full sex.").

Meehan has also organised "Comics Play Music" every Saturday between 2pm & 3pm at The Wee Pub as part of the Laughing Horse Free Fringe, an open mic session for any comedian who wants to chill and pluck out a few melodies. Again half the proceeds raised will be donated to CALM.

James Meehan will be performing his own show Gaz at Just The Tonic at The Caves 18:00, 2-26th August (Not 13th). Details here.
