News: Paddy McGuinness Reveals He Has Arthritis

Comedian Paddy McGuinness has revealed that he is suffering from arthritis.

The 44-year-old performer posted a picture of himself on Instagram with a plaster on his shoulder, explaining: “Morning! Nursing a poorly shoulder today. I had an ultra sound steroid injection in it yesterday. The reason, arthritis? I’m 44! #knackered #shoulderfrigged”.

McGuinness had previously seemed fit. In fact earlier in the week he had played football for the England team against a World XI as part of Soccer Aid, although he did miss a penalty in the shootout at the end.

He is not the only entertainer to suffer from the condition. There is no cure but drugs can help. Bob Mortimer has had arthritis since he was 29 and has to take steroids to ease the pain.
