News: Edinburgh's Got Talent – Nick Page Joins TV Stars At The Fringe.

Nick Page, semi-finalist in this year’s Britain’s Got Talent, is to play the Edinburgh Fringe.

Cheltenham-born Nick, who classifies himself as ‘educated scum’ will be performing at the Just The Tonic Mash House in August with his new show ‘Yes That Nick Page’.

Earlier this year Nick discovered that his Wikipedia entry had been deleted because he was 'no longer notable' (he had previously been listed as a stand up, writer, and presenter of BBC's Escape to the country…) The other Nick Page (Neighbours character from 1988-1990) still has a Wikipedia entry... He thinks this is caused by his refusal to engage with the industry beyond turning up, making audiences laugh and then going home to tinker with lawnmowers!

He's cross with himself about sabotaging his Britain's Got Talent semi final with innuendo, and he would still rather be mowing his lawn than attending fringe!  Nick’s unique style of writing and delivery enables him to link things as diverse as police detention in Indonesia, a manifesto for a better world, planning permission, pizza ovens, the world's worst dog and bovine artificial insemination so that they make sense. From failure to failure via a suicide attempt and some more failure, Page is still winning, even if he's still not in Wikipedia!

Recently Nick was awarded the Operational Service Medal after numerous tours in active warzones performing for military (shows varied from main base shows to 12000 down to patrol base gigs for 20.  He is currently developing a sitcom about his time in the car trade, which was exactly as villainous and chaotic as you would think! He previously lost a publishing deal for a book about the equestrian world after litigation from his ex wife!  He has a degree in International Politics and far Eastern History (useful!). His many other jobs include working as a bouncer, a parliamentary researcher and estate agent, before doing his first gig at 31 for a bet.

Nick Page is at Just The Tonic Mash House from August 3 - 25. Tickets here.

He is not the only Britain's Got Talent act in Edinburgh this summer. Winner Lost Voice Guy is at the Gilded Balloon from August 1 - 26 but his run has already sold out so he has added a large one-off in the Gilded Balloon Auditorium on August 14. Tickets here.

And runner up Robert White is doing a brief run at the Pleasance Courtyard from August 8 - 10.
