News: Nick Page Misses Out On Britain's Got Talent Final

English Comedian of the Year Nick Page failed to make it into this year's Britain's Got Talent final last night.

After getting through to the semi-finals on Saturday night Page failed to win over the judges. Simon Cowell looked stony-faced when Page told a joke about removing a wedding ring in bed: "Believe me no one wants to be woken top by having their ring finger lubed."

Fellow judge David Walliams was booed by some of the audience when he said: "I wish it had gone a little better for you tonight. It was getting there but some of the material didn’t take off."

While other comedians have preented themselves as plucky amateurs former estate agent Page, who has also presented Escape To The Country, had been honest about his background when he appeared on the show: “My name’s Nick Page. I am a comic all the time. I’ve been doing it for 16 years. I’ve been sort of living from gig to gig and having a laugh and I got married and we want to have kids. So it’s time to make a move and see if I’m good enough.”

Further comics lined up to appear this week are Mandy Muden, Robert White and Noel James. Lost Voice Guy has already been voted into the final.
