NextUp, the a subscription video-on-demand platform specialising exclusively in stand-up comedy specials, has launched its service to Amazon Fire TV Stick.
This expansion significantly increases exposure for NextUp and all its shows - as of July 2017, Amazon Fire TV had 38.5 million users in the US alone and was Amazon’s fastest-selling UK device ever.
The full list of available devices for NextUp now includes web, iOS, Android, Apple TV, Amazon Channels and Amazon Fire Stick, with more due to launch later this year.
NextUp features over 85 full length comedy specials from household names such as Richard Herring and Tommy Tiernan as well as championing rising stars such as Rachel Parris and Jordan Brookes.
The Amazon Fire Stick is a small device the size of a flash drive that plugs into a TV’s HDMI port. It enables any TV to stream content over WiFi such as iPlayer, All4 and now...NextUp.
The NextUp App has been featured as Apple’s ‘App of the Day’ and has a five star rating in both app stores. A NextUp subscription is just £3.50 a month with a 30 day free trial and Nextup also supports comedians in numerous ways including a Spotify-style revenue share and supporting community projects including the Care Home Tour.
NextUp Launched in November 2016 and has gone from strength to strength - having been chosen by Amazon as one of their ‘Prime Channels’ in both the US and UK, regularly filming comedians’ shows and releasing a new special every week. Recent releases include Bill Hicks’ ‘Relentless’ , Tiff Stevenson’s ‘Mad Man’, with Paul Sinha’s critically acclaimed Fringe hit - ‘Shout Out To My Ex’ launching this week.
