The line-up has been announced for the final of this year's WeGotTickets Musical Comedy Awards.

Over the years the MCA has provided a launch pad for acts such as Frisky and Mannish, Abandoman, Mae Martin, Rachel Parris, David Elms and Jay Foreman and created a thriving independent platform to celebrate the artform that is musical comedy.

Having fought their way through heats, quarter and semi-finals at the Phoenix in Cavendish Square, a panel of top industry judges will select this years winner. There will also be prizes for Audience Favourite and Best Newcomer 2018. The final will take place at the Udderbelly in London on April 7. Buy tickets here.

The prizes are £750 for the winner, £250 for Audience Favourite (chosen by sponsors WeGotTickets, £200 for Best Newcomer (no more than a year on the circuit) and invitations to perform at the MCA Edinburgh show. 

The final will be hosted by Miss Frisky (La Soiree; Frisky & Mannish) and there will be a headline set from 2017 winner Will Hislop. There will also be a set from Best Newcomer Charlotte Brooke.
