News: US TV Role For Aisling Bea

Comedian and actor Aisling Bea has been cast in a new comedy pilot for American broadcaster NBC.

Trade bible Variety has reported that the single-camera comedy will show one woman’s unfiltered take on the side effects of trying to have it all, inspired by the book “I Feel Bad: All Day. Every Day. About Everything.” by Orli Auslander. Bea will play Simone, the main character’s childhood friend. She is described as the encourager of all bad ideas and the female version of “The Most Interesting Man in the World.”

The cast also currently includes Inbetweeners'  James Buckley, Sarayu Blue, Paul Adelstein, Zach Cherry, and Johnny Pemberton. 

Aseem Batra will write and executive produce with Amy Poehler also executive producing the currently untitled project.
