Scenes in the BBC's Agatha Christie adaptation Ordeal By Innocence featuring Gossip Girl/White Gold star Ed Westwick are to be reshot with a new actor in Westwick's role.
The drama, co-produced by Mammoth Screen and Agatha Christie Limited, was due to be broadcast over Christmas. The corporation made the decision to reshoot parts after sexual assault allegations were made against Westwick. The actor has vehemently denied the allegations.
Westwick, who also stars in the BBC comedy White Gold (pictured) is to be replaced in the scenes by actor Christian Cooke, who starred in the Ricky Gervais/Stephen Merchant coming-of-age film Cemetery Junction.
The three-part Agatha Christie adaptation also stars Bill Nighy, Eleanor Tomlinson and Anna Chancellor.
Filming of the second series of White Gold has been paused.
