News: Harry Hill's Tea Time Returns to Sky One

Harry Hill’s Tea-Time will return to Sky One for a brand new series on 2nd January 2018, bringing one part chat show and one part cookery spoof show to the dinner table with guests including Sir Trevor McDonald, Jessie Wallace, Twiggy, Jenny Agutter, Sanjeev Bhaskar and Kate Humble.

The eight-part series will also feature appearances from real-life chefs Gregg Wallace and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall as BAFTA winning comedian Harry Hill will once again bring his unique twist to the cookery shows we’ve come to know and love.

Harry Hill said: “This has to be my maddest show ever. Where else can you see Jenny Agutter delivering a baby sausage, Gregg Wallace singing with his half-brother Egg Wallace or Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall diving into a bin full of bin juice?”

In the brand new series, viewers will be treated to Sir Trevor McDonald singing Islands in the Stream whilst playing a keyboard, Twiggy and Harry doing a mesmerising tap dance routine and Jessie Wallace performing La La Land’s Another Day of Sun like you’ve never seen or heard it before - and these are just some of the creations Harry and his guest team of chefs will offer up to cookery books around the world. Harry, his guest and regular sous chefs Trevor Modo and Egg Wallace cook up a feast whilst the conversation is garnished with clips from the guest’s career and hilarious moments from the cookery TV genre.

The first series of Harry Hill’s Tea Time drew widespread acclaim, with The Guardian describing it as ‘very funny…a recipe for gloriously pointless fun’ that allowed viewers to ‘drift off into an escapist fantasy land, the perfect panacea for panic-inducing news stories.’ Each week guests including Paul Hollywood, Emilia Fox, Jason Donovan, Gok Wan and Martin Kemp joined Harry in the kitchen, helping create culinary treats such as Chicken Tom Jones or a Sponge Finger Prison.

Harry Hill’s Tea-Time is produced by Harry Hill and CPL Productions’ new joint venture, Nit Television. The series has been commissioned by Phil Edgar Jones, Head of Entertainment Commissioning and Marvyn Benoit, Commissioning Editor at Sky. Executive Producers are Harry Hill, Mobashir Dar, Murray Boland and Danielle Lux for Nit Television.
