News: Monthly London Comedy Club Goes Weekly

Due to popular demand, comedy night Knock2Bag has announced its new weekly residency at Hackney’s Moth Club. The event, named as one of London’s best comedy nights by Time Out, will welcome a flurry of established names and fresh talent through its doors this autumn, including Harry Hill, Joe Wilkinson, Roisin Conaty (pictured), Jayde Adams, Brian Gittins, Kiri Pritchard McLean, Richard Gadd, Tony Law, Cardinal Burns, Aisling Bea and Jamie Demetriou.

Knock2Bag is one of the best mixed bill nights in the capital. It celebrated a landmark birthday back in May, marking 10 years of hosting sublime and surreal comedy by the likes of Stewart Lee, Stephen Merchant, Rob Delaney, Joe Lycett, David Cross, Sara Pascoe and Tim Key. It is known for its eclectic lineups that draw riotous crowds and audiences that have previously included Ralph Fiennes, John C. Reilly, Steve Coogan and Julian Barratt.

The now weekly gigs will be hosted in the Moth Club, a brilliantly atmospheric ex servicemen's members club in the heart of Hackney. With its sparkly gold ceiling and sense of faded glamour, the venue has become a key live fixture for touring musicians (Lady Gaga recently chose its stage to launch her latest album at a surprise, one-off show there) and now every Thursday it will throw open the doors to those who enjoy watching and discovering innovative, original comedy talent.
