News: New Improv Residency for Tony Slattery

Comedian Tony Slattery is returning to the improvisation scene as part of a new run in north London. Launching on Saturday 14th October at the London Improv Theatre (NW3) and then with a run of dates through October/November/December, Slattery Night Fever sees a brand-new improvisation supergroup formed by Lesley Ann Albiston (Theatresports, Grand Theft Impro) featuring Canadian improv guru Alan Marriott (Grand Theft Impro, Will Shakespeare’s Impro Musical) and the star of Whose Line Is It Anyway? Tony Slattery, plus regular guests.

Compered by stand-up Neil Cole and with Canadian musician Sandra-Mae Luykz improvising on keyboards and sax, the shows are a mixture of fast-paced impro games, scenes and songs followed by an entire improvised play, all based on suggestions from the audience.

One of the best-loved faces of TV in the 1990s, Tony Slattery was a regular on Channel 4’s comedy show Whose Line Is It Anyway? After a return to live comedy improvisation as part of the Whose Line... revival at the Edinburgh Fringe 2017 he is back in London making it all up with his trademark mercurial mischievous wit.

Housed in one of the oldest pubs in London the North Star The London Improv Theatre is dedicated to hosting live improvised comedy shows in an intimate, atmospheric environment with food and craft beers available. The venue has limited space, so advanced booking is essential. Tickets are £10 online, £15 on the door and can booked in advance via the website www.londonimprovtheatre.com
