News: Vic & Bob Working On New TV Show

Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer are still working on their new sketch show, as reported by Beyond The Joke last year. "We are ready to go," says Mortimer, "but nobody wants to film it."

The duo were talking to Dermot O'Leary on last night's Nightly Show in the run-up to Red Nose Day when they will be reviving their Geordie chat show hosts The Stotts for one night only.

They did reveal that new characters in the next series - if/when it gets made – may include Reeves doing a camp character call Jan from Wisconsin “who bakes kerfuffles" and shows you around his home.

Mortimer suggested that there may be a sketch about California car culture with a heavy metal soundtrack.

O'Leary mentioned a date of August but according to Mortimer it is not confirmed yet.

The duo also recalled their early days in South London. “Vic used to sell the gaps between panels in fences to raise money to save the children,” recalled Mortimer.

Watch the full interview here. They are the first guests in the show.
