News: New Gig And New TV Series For Nick Helm

The release date has been confirmed for the BBC Three series Uncle starring Nick Helm. It is due to be available online from January 1. This will be the third series of the comedy, written by Oliver Refson, in which Helm plays downbeat musician Andy who forms a quirky friendship with his nephew Errol (Elliot Speller-Gillott).

Helm has also just announced a special one-off Christmas gig at the Pleasance in north London, entitled Nick Helm's Christmas Fuck Fest 2. The show is on December 17 and on the Pleasance website Helm has issued explanatory notes regarding the gig listing "all the people that shouldn't bother attending."

Among the notes it also says that  the gig is not for "People expecting a reenactment of all their favourite moments from BBC Three's Uncle. Nick is an award winning stand up comedian and not the same person as the fictional person he plays in the hit series Uncle. He is just an excellent actor and maybe his diversity and range should be celebrated rather than met with confused disapproval."
