A UK release date has been confirmed for The Comedian's Guide To Survival, the new film based on the early career of British stand-up James Mullinger and starring James Buckley.

It will be released in selected cinemas across the UK on Friday 28th October and is being distributed by Signature Entertainment.

The film, directed by Mark Murphy, has already been screened at Montreal's Just for Laughs Festival. Scenes featuring Mike Ward, Jimmy Carr, Omid Djalili, Mike Wilmot, Pete Zedlacher and Derek Seguin were shot at the festival last year. The film also stars MyAnna Buring and Paul Kaye and features more comedians including Carly Smallman, Maff Brown, Luisa Omielan and Richard Sandling. 

Mullinger, who now lives in Canada, has previously said of the film that "parts are tough for me to watch as they accurately depict the hell I went through in my formative comedy years."
