News: James Acaster Resets Off On UK Tour

Four-time Edinburgh Comedy Award-nominated James Acaster has announced a full UK tour this autumn. He will be performing his latest show Reset, following his upcoming 2016 run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The tour starts on September 21 in Cardiff and finishes at the Lyric Theatre in London on December 5.

Having quickly established himself as one of the leading lights of British comedy, James has notched up a plethora of award nominations, including Best Comedy Show at the 2015, 2014, 2013 and 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festivals and taking home the Best International Show Award at the 2014 New Zealand International Comedy Festival.

In addition to his glowing stand-up career, James has also just filmed a brand new series for BBC Three, titled ‘Sounds Random’. Part-chat show, part-music video, the 15-part series of shorts sees James invite an array of stellar music guests to hit shuffle on their music library and discuss randomly selected tracks from their collections. Of the series, James said, “This is a fascinating series to film as our guests have no-where to hide, they can’t ignore their guilty pleasures if that’s what the device selects and the emotions that individual songs evoke are evident in their initial reactions as soon as they hear the opening chords!”

James has also just released the second series of his comedy-documentary Sweet Home Ketteringa, in which he visits Lahnstein in Germany, the official twin town of his home town of Kettering, so he can see the whole picture of Kettering and therefore, himself.
