News: Ricky Gervais Spat Update: "Sacred cows should be milked for laughs".

Ricky Gervais has become involved in just two spats this week.

Following his hosting of the Golden Globes, Caitlyn Jenner has responded to his quips. At the awards Gervais said: “I’ve changed. Well, not as much as Bruce Jenner, obviously – now Caitlyn Jenner." He went on to make a joke about Jenner's driving. "What a year she’s had. She became a role model for trans people everywhere, showing great bravery in breaking down barriers and destroying stereotypes. She didn’t do a lot for women drivers, but you can’t do everything.”

The star of the reality show I Am Cait has now answered back when asked about the comments by reporters in Pasadena: "I think what I’m gonna do is call the Golden Globes and see if they need a new host for next year. And we’ll solve that problem. I’m only a spokesman for me and my story. I have so much to learn in this community.”

Gervais followed up Jenner's comments by tweeting this earlier today: "Please, please, please let her host The . Just don't let her drive."

The comic has also caused a kerfuffle by calling a teenage French-Mexican bullfighter named Michelito Lagravere and dubbed 'the Justin Bieber of bullfighting'  "A little cunt". When he was criticised for being rude about a child when maybe it was his parents who were at fault Gervais replied by tweeting: "I know. That's why I used the word little. His parents are massive cunts."

Elsewhere while discussing the nature of causing offence Gervais hinted that he is considering a return to stand-up comedy. He tweeted: "Hosting The Globes has made me want to do a new stand up show next year. Now THAT'S when you're allowed to be offended. You whiney cunts :)".

Earlier today he was unrepentent and tweeted: "Sacred cows should be milked for laughs".

It has also been confirmed that Gervais's latest film Special Correspondents will premiere on Netflix on April 29. The film, starring Gervais and Eric Bana and directed by Gervais, follows a reporter who fakes news stories from his studio flat above a Spanish restaurant in New York to gain the admiration of his peers.
