Murder They Wrote, the hit true crime podcast from BBC Sounds hosted by Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling, is returning for a new run of episodes as the series continues to grow its loyal audience of listeners.
Since launching three years ago, the podcast has become a favourite among true crime fans, blending meticulous research with Laura and Iain's trademark chemistry and wit. Having released more than 150 episodes, the show recently expanded to two episodes a week in response to audience demand.
This autumn, listeners can look forward to a packed run of stories from around the world, alongside the returning fan-favourite formats, where Laura and Iain investigate cases suggested by listeners, and the Mailbag episodes, featuring questions and correspondence from the show's dedicated community. New Casefiles episodes will also take a deeper look at some of the most fascinating figures and stories featured in the main series.
This series will include major episodes covering cases such as the Great Train Robbery, the Josacine Affair and Ed Gein, as well as a special Halloween run exploring the real-life crimes and stories that inspired some of horror cinema's most iconic characters.
