New Senior Appointments At Baby Cow
Baby Cow Productions, part of BBC Studios, has appointed Olly Cambridge (pictured0 as its Head of Comedy and Kelly McGolpin (pictured) as Head of Drama, further strengthening its senior creative team as it continues to expand its scripted slate across television and film. Kelly and Olly join the editorial team alongside Joe Fraser (How Are You? It’s Alan (Partridge)) And Liz Daramola.
 
Olly Cambridge (Everyone Else Burns; A Whole Lifetime with Jamie Demetriou & Ellie & Natasia) joins as Head of Comedy, where he will lead all comedy development and production. Working closely with writers, performers and creators, he will drive the development of original series for UK and international broadcasters and platforms.
 
Kelly McGolpin (Chewing Gum; Feel Good) takes up the newly created role of Head of Drama, overseeing Baby Cow’s growing drama slate. She will work with writers and directors to develop and produce original series and films, while building relationships with established talent and emerging voices.
 
These appointments come as Baby Cow continues to grow its ambitious scripted output. Alongside its long-standing reputation for boundary-pushing comedy, the company is expanding into drama that combines emotional depth with the wit and distinctive, character driven storytelling that defines its work.

Recent projects include the feature film The Ballad of Wallis Island, written by Tom Basden and Tim Key and starring Basden, Key and Carey Mulligan, which secured multiple wins at the British Independent Film Awards and earned three BAFTA nominations.
 
Changing Ends, Alan Carr’s semi-autobiographical comedy, now in its third series for ITV, and How Are You? It’s Alan (Partridge) have received four BAFTA TV Award nominations between them.
 
New BBC comedy Bills Included, starring Rob Brydon as a well-meaning but over enthusiastic divorcee who rents out his spare rooms to students to stay afloat, is currently filming.
