In episode three of brand new Mock The Week on TLC, Dara is joined by series regular Rhys James, alongside Sara Pascoe, Katherine Ryan, Glenn MooreSarah Keyworth and Hugh Dennis - who is back on the panel for the first time this series. They take a satirical romp through some of the week’s biggest headlines including Keir Starmer’s chief of staff resignation - political blame games, and Elon Musk’s satellites.

Rhys James on Morgan McSweeny’s departure  “The fact that McSweeney has gone is fantastic news for justice, because we’ve got the guy haven’t we, we’ve got our guy, we’ve got the guy who made a suggestion to the guy, who made the appointment of the guy, who’s friends with the guy, who did all those international sex crimes, so we can move on.”

Sara Pascoe added “They came as a pair, you know McSweeney came up with the ideas, Kier Starmer was sort of putting it into action. They should have left at the same time, like Tess and Claudia”

Hugh Dennis noted “Dara and I left at the same time but he came back first"

During the round You Think that’s Bad the comedians step away from the headlines and attempt to lift their spirits by trying to outdo each other with their own tales of woe -

Sara Pascoe on therapy “I have therapy and I was telling my therapist how I was bullied in school and she said oh that’s not bullying, you just weren’t liked.” To which host, Dara Ó Briain was for once lost for words.

Sarah Keyworth asked “Did she say that while flushing your head down the toilet?”

Glenn Moore added “You think that’s bad, my therapist actually recommended I quit doing stand up… in a You Tube comment about 6 months before we met.”

Also in this week’s episode, Dara spirals into existential despair as the panel unpacks Elon Musk’s plan to fling a million solar-powered satellites into space before immediately bombarding Dara with science questions about how they’re supposed to work when it’s “dark” up there.

Mock the Week continues Sundays at 9pm on TLC.  It forms part of a bumper TLC schedule which, now available free-to-air in the UK, becomes the destination for big laughs, real emotions and true escapism with its broad entertainment offer.

In next week's show, Dara Ó Briain will be joined by series regular Rhys James, Angela Barnes, Sean McLoughlin, Alasdair Beckett-King, Mark Simmons and Ria Lina.
