Funz & Gamez

The BBC has announced the next six new comedy pilots as part of its Comedy Feeds series on iPlayer. The shows feature, among others, Dane Baptiste, Greg James, Sarah Hadland, Jamie Demetriou, Natasha Demetriou, Liam Williams, Claudia O’Doherty and Funz & Gamez. Now in their fourth year, the Comedy Feeds exist to provide a platform for new and emerging comedy talent to showcase their work. A number of previous pilots have gone on to secure commissions for series including Fried, People Just Do Nothing, Josh and Impractical Jokers.

The Comedy Feeds were commissioned by Shane Allen, Controller, Comedy Commissioning and Victoria Jaye, Head of Content for BBC iPlayer and Sam Bickley when she was in her role as acting Controller, BBC Three.

Shane Allen said: “Comedy Feeds are a crucial and dedicated way for the BBC to find and support the next wave of British comedy talent both on and off screen. The range and quality is incredibly impressive and we wish all of the talent involved rich and long careers.” The comedies will be available on iPlayer from 11pm on July 13. Watch them here.

The producer is Lisa Clark and it is being executive produced by Rebecca Papworth.
