Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Jordan Brookes has released his stand-up/musical theatre hybrid show Fontanelle for free on YouTube.
Fontanelle is a darkly funny exploration of vulnerability, irony and tragedy - set against the backdrop of the Titanic.
The show first enjoyed a critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2024 before transferring to Soho Theatre in London earlier this year.
Brookes says: “It started in 2023 as a work in progress show with just me on stage and slowly mutated into a (sort-of) musical with a cast, props and songs. It’s definitely the most ambitious, gloriously stupid thing I’ve made, and I’m so excited to be releasing this mad beast of a show during the most wholesome time of year.”
“It shouldn’t be surprising that this show made me no money. But I didn’t want to put it behind a paywall - free the fontanelle, I say - so I’m releasing it on YouTube. So if anyone fancies dropping some money in my Ko-fi, that would be great. Also, if anyone wants to buy a mini-bow of a ship that doubles as a zimmerframe for no reason, or 6 tiny captain’s hats, or an 8 inch squidgy foam dildo, please get in touch.
And look out for Fontanelle 2: Lost In New York in 2027”
