After selling out this week’s initial run, acclaimed comedian and filmmaker Simon Amstell has announced a further three-week London residency in February 2026 of his new stand-up show ‘I Love It Here’.
This transcendent new stand-up experience from “the undisputed king of the stand-up confessional” (Evening Standard) will take place across three weeks in February 2026 at Arches London Bridge – 11th – 14th, 18th – 21st and 25th – 28th February 2026.
Tickets are on sale now at iloveithereshow.com and simonamstell.com.
At a friend’s beach house just outside Los Angeles, Simon finally finds peace: he is in love, released from the need to perform. But when an invitation arrives from the man who first ignited his teenage desire, that fragile calm is thrown into chaos.
What follows is a desperate, hilarious attempt at surrender, during a night of overwhelming stimulation – the raw material for this extraordinary new show.
‘I Love It Here’ marks an exciting departure from Amstell’s previous depression-based work, such as the acclaimed BBC stand-up special ‘Numb’, inspired by the award-winning comedian’s inability to feel anything.
The launch of Amstell’s latest stand-up event has seen him unveil an accompanying series of captivating, playfully provocative poster designs, created in collaboration with celebrated film poster designer and artist Sam Ashby.
Ashby’s striking designs see Amstell as never before, free and joyful, soaking up his idyllic, countryside surrounds. His previous work includes film poster design for ‘All Of Us Strangers’, ‘Frances Ha’, ‘Control’ and ‘The Outrun’.
Of the posters he has created for Amstell’s new show, Ashby said: “Simon and I were introduced by a mutual friend some time ago and shared our creative work with each other – me: my films and poster design, Simon: his beautiful photography, which remains a personal, unseen project. I don’t really consider myself a photographer despite shooting my own films, so I see these images as collaborative works which draw on Simon’s own photography, even using his camera. The aim was to reveal a side of Simon which people may not have encountered before – something freer, perhaps more open. That sense of freedom feels central to the spirit of this new show. And for the design, I painted the title by hand to give it an organic, personal touch – something natural, imperfect, alive.”
Simon Amstell is a comedian, screenwriter and director. His stand-up special Set Free is available on Netflix.
His feature film Benjamin premiered at the London Film Festival and was released internationally to widespread acclaim. His debut film, the mockumentary Carnage, aired on BBC iPlayer.
Simon was the youngest finalist of the BBC New Comedy Awards and has since won an RTS Award, a Broadcast Award, two British Comedy Awards and has been nominated for a BAFTA.
“Simon Amstell has a gift for taking a social norm and gently mocking it until it seems utterly ridiculous” New York Times
