Berk's Next Comedy Announces Glasgow Comedy Festival Shows

Comedy production company Berk’s Nest is set to return to Glasgow International Comedy Festival next year for the sixth instalment of their annual residency at The Old Hairdressers - with their biggest, busiest roster yet.

Extending their stay at the venue to two long weekends (12th - 22nd March), the company will produce a range of works-in-progress and acclaimed tour shows. The first wave of shows across the full eight days are on sale now at berksnest.com/gicf, with more to be announced soon.

Kicking off the first weekend on Thursday 12th March is Taskmaster champion Sophie Duker with a work-in-progress, while Celya AB, ‘one of the finest joke writers of our age’ (Chortle), shares brand new material on Friday 13th March, ahead of her Autumn 2026 tour. The first Saturday will see works-in-progress from Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Lara Ricote (Mitchell and Webb Are Not Helping), Rachel Fairburn (Live At The Apollo, House of Games, All Killa No Filla) and Olga Koch (QI, Mock The Week).

On Sunday, award-winning clown Josh Glanc, BBC New Comedy Awards Finalist Jin Hao Li and the highly acclaimed Catherine Bohart (Trusty Hogs podcast, QI, Live At The Apollo) round off the weekend.

Online sensation Morgan Rees heads up the second weekend on Thursday 19th March; winner of the 2025 Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer Ayoade Bamgboye performs her rave-reviewed phenomenon Swings and Roundabouts on the Friday; Kiri Prichard-McLean (Have I Got News For You, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown) and Paddy Young (Everyone Else Burns, The Stand Up Sketch Show) perform new material on the Saturday, and on Sunday 22nd March David Elms closes out Berk’s Nest’s venue takeover with his improv show David Elms Describes A Room.
