Tour For Urooj Ashfaq

Tour For Urooj Ashfaq

Indian comedian Urooj Ashfaq is going on tour with her brand-new stand-up show, How to Be a Baddie. The tour follows her return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August, where she debuts the show at Monkey Barrel 4 as part of Soho Theatre’s 2025 Fringe programme. This marks her first full Fringe run since winning Best Newcomer at the 2023 Edinburgh Comedy Awards.

After her debut UK tour in 2024 and with a growing international profile, Urooj returns with a bold, rebellious hour about shaking off good-girl expectations. How to Be a Baddie explores erotica, bad behaviour, haemorrhoids, and the freedom of finally saying whatever she wants, all delivered with Urooj’s trademark charm and Gen Z irreverence.

Performing first in London at Soho Theatre Downstairs (Mon 3 – Sat 15 November, 7.15pm), the show then tours to Leeds, Manchester, Luton, Leicester, Edinburgh, Bristol, Birmingham, Bradford, and Glasgow across November.

Urooj began performing stand-up in Mumbai’s underground comedy scene before rising to national attention in India as a finalist on TLC’s Queens of Comedy and host of Comicstaan. Her UK debut in 2023 earned her popular recognition, and she quickly became a key figure in the rise of Indian comedy on the international stage. In the years since, she’s performed sell-out runs at Soho Theatre, toured Australia with fellow Mumbai-based rising star Anirban Dasgupta, featured on comedy podcast Sloss and Humphries On The Road, and even became a pop culture trivia question on Kaun Banega Crorepati (India’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire).

Now, with How to Be a Baddie, Urooj is done playing nice.
