Off Menu Returns For 14th Series And 300th Show

Comedians and podcast hosts James Acaster and Ed Gamble kick off series 14 of their hit podcast Off Menu with their 300th episode.

In the first episode of this latest series, released today Weds 16th July, Ed Gamble and James Acaster mark the milestone occasion with special guest host AJ Odudu who turns the tables and asks Ed and James for their updated dream menus. All episodes are available wherever you get your podcasts.

Ed Gamble said: “When we first started this podcast, I only thought we would last 299 episodes, but here we are at 300. Here’s to at least 8 more!”

James Acaster: “300 is a 2006 American epic historical action film directed by Zack Snyder, who co-wrote the screenplay with Kurt Johnstad and Michael B. Gordon. It is based on the 1998 comic book limited series of the same name by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley. The film, like its source material, is a fictionalized retelling of the Battle of Thermopylae in the Greco-Persian Wars. The plot revolves around King Leonidas (Gerard Butler), who leads 300 Spartans into battle against the Persian "God-King" Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) and his invading army of more than 300,000 soldiers. As the battle rages, Queen Gorgo (Lena Headey) attempts to rally support in Sparta for her husband. The film also features Michael Fassbender in his film debut.”

Previous guests for the last series of Off Menu include Hollywood royalty, Robert De Niro and Jeff Goldblum, actors Daisy Ridley, Carey Mulligan and David Tennant, presenters Dermot O’Leary and Stacey Dooley, chefs Meera Sodha and Santiago Lastra and comedians Mo Gilligan, Joanne McNally and Rhod Gilbert. This brand new series promises to deliver a lineup of more weird and wonderful dream menus from star-studded patrons entering the dream restaurant.
