Award-winning comedian, illustrator, and professional idiot, Olaf Falafel, is back with the most delightfully daft joke book ever published.
Introducing A Poo on a Pogo Stick – a carefully curated collection of original, Falafel-penned jokes, along with classic kids' gags gathered during Olaf’s many author visits to schools. Some of the jokes are gloriously stupid, most are properly hilarious, and a few are sneakily clever. The whole thing is designed to cause maximum laughter—and at least one incident of beverages being snorted out through the nose.
Jokes include but are most definitely not limited to:
What’s brown, goes ‘boing’ and knocks on your bedroom window at night? A poo on a pogo stick.
How do you make a cat stand still? Press paws.
What’s white, fluffy, and sounds like an owl? A towel.
What rhymes with potato? No, it doesn’t.
The thing that sets A Poo On A Pogo Stick apart from other joke books is the density of humour contained within Olaf’s illustrations—recurring characters, running jokes, and multiple layers that reward kids (and parents) who take the time to look twice... and then again.
“When I was ten, my favourite book was The Ha Ha Bonk Book by Janet and Allan Ahlberg – it was a huge inspiration for this one,” says Olaf. “I loved the visual gags, the funny little characters and the clever running jokes. That’s what I’ve tried to create here: a whole cartoon universe that’s as funny as the jokes themselves.”
Chapters include:
• Rabbit Farts
• You Look Like a Bowl of Custard
• Scary Cheese Jokes
• Silly Rhymes and Poems
• Advanced Jokes (for very clever kids and stupid grown-ups) • Toilet Humour (of course)
A Poo on a Pogo Stick is perfect for ages 7+, especially budding comedians, class clowns, and anyone who finds the concept of ‘sausage birds’ funny.
