30 Rock’s Tina Fey called it “the happiest time of my life”, Mike Myers said it “felt like I got accepted to Harvard”. They are just two performers who cut their comedy teeth at Second City Improv. And now for the first time in its 56-year history the club that also nurtured the careers of Steve Carell, Bill Murray, John Belushi will be holding workshops in London, at the Angel Comedy Club in May in association with Comedy Blogedy. Prices are £350 for a one-week course.
There will also be an Improvisation Festival at the same venue from May 10 – 16, showcasing the UK’s best improvisers alongside various Second City alumni. But this may be the first time they have held classes on this side of the Atlantic.
