Edinburgh Fringe Runs For Stewart Lee, Bridget Christie, Paul Sinha, Robin Ince

Stewart Lee, Paul Sinha and Bridget Christie are among the acts who have announced Edinburgh Fringe dates at The Stand this August. Available to buy from The Stand’s website from March 20th – and from edfringe.com from March 30th – they join the prestigious Edinburgh comedy club’s Fringe roster which comprises 4 rooms around York Place and The Stand’s New Town Theatre on 96 George Street.

Also newly announced are the likes of Robin Ince, Tom Stade and Liam Farrelly, fresh from his debut appearance on Live at The Apollo. Far from marking the end of show announcements though, these are just the latest in a near-continuous roll-out of shows, more of which will follow. On March 30th, The Stand will also be releasing tickets for two shows from Seann Walsh, last year’s success story who received an awards nomination at the club.

The Stand’s Marketing Officer, Louis Cammell, says: “It’s amazing to welcome back so many incredible comedians from last year, as well as those whose ties to The Stand extend far further backwards than my own. There’s no doubting that everyone in our programme this year is at the very top of their game and now with the pandemic firmly in the rear-view mirror, it’s a privilege to help put on some of the best shows Edinburgh has to offer.”

The list of new additions also comprises: Simon Munnery; Seymour Mace; Susan Morrison, who presents an Edinburgh walking tour; Gareth Mutch; Cal Halbert, Angus Coutts, Mary Bourke and public figures Andy Burnham (Mayor of Manchester) and Anas Sarwar (Scottish Labour Party Leader) as part of the ‘In Conversation With’ strand presented in partnership with Fair Pley. Previous ICW guests have included former First Minister Nicola Sturgeon as well as The Staircase’s David Rudolph.

Stewart Lee and Bridget Christie’s shows will be on sale from 12 noon today, the others are on-sale from thestand.co.uk here right now (March 20th) and from edfringe.com from March 30th.

If you can see a picture of Stewart Lee wearing a tie it's by Steve Ullathorne.
