Jonathan Ross Show Guests This Week

With Graham Norton not currently doing any new shows on a Friday night there's a chance for Jonathan Ross to reclaim the chat show crown. Tonight's show sounds like fun with a gaggle of comics appearing alongside Andy Serkis, Peter Crouch, Abbey Clancey and Paulo Nutini – Alan Carr, Amy Gledhill and Babatunde Aleshe.

Mo Gilligan's Gogglebox chum Babatunde Aleshe is having a bit of a moment right now. His first UK tour keeps selling out and he has added more dates. In his live show he talks about appearing on I'm A Celebrity and having to deal with giant spiders and flying cockroaches before he even arrived in the camp. Reports suggest that on TV he reveals that fellow camper Matt Hancock is not in the I'm A Celebrity Whatsapp group, though he doesn't know the reasons for him leaving, whether he chose to leave or not. Aleshe said: “I checked today and he’s not in the group anymore. I don’t know if he’s been kicked out or if he left of his own accord.”

Amy Gledhill is a rising star of the comedy circuit. She is part of sketch duo The Delightful Sausage and last year at the Edinburgh Fringe picked up an Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination for her solo show, The Girl Before The Girl You Marry.

What more can we say about Alan Carr? He's a stand-up star and a TV regular with various projects on the go. The most interesting is probably the sitcom that's based on his life growing up in a football-mad family – his father was the manager of Northampton Town FC. Carr is certainly busy these days after a tough year when he split with his husband Paul Drayton after three years of marriage and 13 years together. His dog Bev also died last year. Carr can currenrly be seen in his BBC series doing up a wreck in Sicily with Amanda Holden.
