Star-Studded 100th Edition Of Cally Beaton Podcast

Comedian, business mentor, podcaster, writer and all-round entrepreneur Cally Beaton reaches a milestone with her weekly hit podcast ‘Namaste Motherf**kers’ on 2nd March with her 100th episode. She writes and presents the podcast, launched in 2021, and it is the only podcast where the worlds of comedy, self-help and business collide.

The 100th episode will be a star studded compilation of guests picking their namaste motherf**king life-changing moments. So, big names, telling wow moment stories!   These will include anecdotes from Richard Osman, Seann Walsh, Dragon’s Den Deborah Meaden, Rosie Jones, Danny Wallace and Philippa Perry.

Cally is well known for being a natural storyteller, full of intelligent, distinctive and punchline-rich material, she is one of the UK’s most sought-after comedy acts. She made her debut appearance on the Christmas Special of Live at The Apollo in December 2022 at the age of 53! Her other numerous TV appearances include being a regular on BBC2’s QI and The Apprentice You're Fired, as well as Pointless Celebrities, Richard Osman’s House of Games & The Blame Game. Radio credits include Radio 4’s The Unbelievable Truth, The Museum of Curiosity & The Now Show, she is also a regular contributor on Radio 5 Live, Times Radio and BBC London. 

She is working on a book, incorporating her own insights from life in the boardroom traded for life treading the boards, alongside the life hacks and confessions of her celebrity guests.

Cally Beaton knows a thing or two about self-help, having helped herself out of a boardroom career to become a full-time comedian, just before a global pandemic. She held senior management positions at some of the world’s biggest media companies. In her early career she headed up an independent TV production company that was bought by ITV and went on to be the youngest and only female member of the board.

She left to set up an award-winning creative consultancy company, Road Trip Media, and went on to do a ten-year stint as Senior VP at the US studio giant ViacomCBS. There, Cally oversaw a multi-million-dollar budget for brands including Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central and Paramount. If you want someone to blame for bringing South Park and SpongeBob SquarePants to the world, you need look no further.

It was while working for Comedy Central that Cally was nudged into the sphere of performance by none other than Joan Rivers and as a 45-year-old single parent, she first took to the stage. She quickly cemented her position as one of the most exciting and distinctive new stand-ups in the country, with her unflinching, acerbic and intelligent brand of comedy.

Cally went to an all-boys’ boarding school where her parents were teachers

She is a qualified skydiver

She has a motorbike licence and a particular passion for vintage vespas

She has bungee-jumped out of a hot air balloon

She is a qualified cognitive hypnotherapist

Her son is an autistic primate-keeper at a Devon zoo

She is a classical pianist

She is a fluent Dutch speaker, despite not having a Dutch passport

She is a keen runner, having run her first marathon the same year she took up stand-up, aged 45; these days she sticks to half-marathons
