British Comedian of the Year Results

The British Comedian of the Year 2022 final has taken place at the Comedy Store in London.

And the winner of the title and a cheque for £10,001 is Dan Tiernan. This follows his victory earlier this month in the BBC New Comedy Awards. He also won the Beat The Frog World Series in 2020.

Second was Larry Dean. Third was Andrew White. Fourth was Ian Stone.

The competition is curated by The Stand-Up Club, whose flagship venue is in Piccadilly (London) and who produce and promote comedy clubs, corporate events and competitions around the UK.

The organisers describe it as the "the FA Cup of Comedy", with newcomers up against established acts in a series of heats. This is the competition's second year. The first winner was Jeff Innocent.

The full line-up of finalists was:

ANDREW WHITE
DAN TIERNAN
IAN STONE
JACK GLEADOW
KEV MUD
LARRY DEAN
