Am I Being Unreasonable To Return for a Second Series

Hit comedy thriller Am I Being Unreasonable? will be back for a second series on BBC One and iPlayer.

Written by and starring Daisy May Cooper and Selin Hizli, the cricially acclaimed comedy thriller took another twist at the series conclusion tonight as audiences learned what really happened between Nic (Cooper) and Alex (David Flynn) that fateful night on the train.

Filmed in Bristol and around the West Country, the binge worthy first series saw Nic grieving a loss she couldn’t share with anyone.  Only her son Ollie (Lenny Rush), who she adores kept her going.  When Jen (Hizli) arrived in town with her son Harry (Reuben Catt), she found a kindred spirit and soon Nic’s dark secret started to bubble over.

Daisy May Cooper & Selin Hizli, writers-creators said ” When we first started writing this show we never dreamed it would get commissioned, let alone get another series. We’re so grateful to everyone who has watched it and we promise we will work our hardest to make the second series even better than the first…It’s gonna hit you with all the grace and decorum of a reversing dump truck without any tyres on.”

Jon Petrie, Director of BBC Comedy said “We had so many questions after binging the first series that we were selfishly desperate to have more AM I BEING UNREASONABLE in our lives. Luckily, we know that our viewers feel the same way. Thank you to Daisy May Cooper, Selin Hizli, Jack Thorne and everyone at Boffola for creating such a funny, thrilling, genre-bending show. We can’t wait to see what happens next.”

Pippa Brown, Creative Director for Lookout Point said “What a privilege to be able to work with Daisy and Selin and the hugely talented team on Am I Being Unreasonable? again.  It’s a giddy mix of joy and fear knowing where their comedically genius and genuinely terrifying brains will take Nic and Jen and the cast for a second series.  We’re all very proud and happy to get going, thank you BBC.”

Jonathan Blyth, Commercial & Partnerships Director for Comedy at BBC Studios, adds ‘We are thrilled about the news of a second series. Daisy, Selin & Boffola have produced one of the most talked about shows of the year.  We’re excited to be working with the BBC and our key partners to bring this terrific series to audiences around the world and establish it as a major global comedy brand’.

All episodes of Am I Being Unreasonable? are available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.
