Comedian/prankster Joe Lycett has bamboozled commuters on the London Underground again. Last year he advertised his upcoming gigs with a picture of James Acaster. This time he has opted for Joe Pasquale.

Lycett tried to explain what happened on social media: "I would like to apologise to Mr Pasquale for this error. The members of my team responsible have been reprimanded."

But some were still confused. Lou Mac tweeted: "I'm confused. Which silly voiced comedian is going to turn up?"

Irish Comedian Michael Redmond referenced one of his own jokes that has also been previously referenced by Stewart Lee: "People often say to Joe Pasquale...."Hey you, what are you doing in my poster?"

Sian Williams tweeted: "I saw this yesterday at Bond Street and did a double take, although I have to say the resemblance is uncanny!"

Gavin Barber tweeted a picture of John Travolta and wrote: "I think we just discovered the cast of Face/Off 2."

In December 2021 Lycett issued the following statement shedding some light on why people have been seeing a poster advertising his upcoming SSE Wembley Arena shows but with the face of fellow comedian James Acaster on them.

Lycett posted the following on social media about this:

"Many of you have noticed posters of my 2022 tour More More More, How Do You Lycett, How Do You Lycett? which have a picture of James Acaster on them. I would like to publicly apologise to Mr Acaster and his team for this. The posters were an experiment to see if my face was a deterrent to this British public and if his face would sell more tickets to my show. It is with great disappoint that I have discovered that sales have shot up. 

Mr Acaster's legal team contacted my representatives and after talks we have agreed an out of court settlement. The terms of the settlement are as follows. 

1.1 I will post this apology publicly 

1.2 I will never again use James Acaster's image without his prior approval

1.3 I have agreed to not play Kettering on the tour

1.4 Within the apology post I will publish the correct tour post which is attached."
