Mo Gilligan To Host BBC Celebrity Game Show

Debuting on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, That’s My Jam is based on the original US show hosted by Jimmy Fallon, which draws inspiration from the wildly popular musical segments on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Signature games from the US version include Launch The Mic, Air Guitar, Don’t Drop The Beat and Slay It, Don’t Spray It.

Mo Gilligan says: “It was such a thrill to work with Jimmy and his outstanding team on the pilot of this show - and now we get to do a series! This is such an exceptional format and I’m so honoured that the BBC and NBCUniversal are letting me bring it to the UK."

Kate Phillips, Director of Unscripted at the BBC, says: “With marvellous Mo Gilligan leading proceedings, That’s My Jam will see competitive celebrities facing off like never before, in a series of musical games guaranteed to provide a multitude of surprises and singalong moments!”

With a whole host of celebrity guests, dance and trivia-based games, and unforgettable musical performances, That’s My Jam promises to take popular and well known songs to the next level like never before. Broadcast details and guests will be confirmed in due course.

That’s My Jam was commissioned by Kate Phillips in her capacity as Director of Entertainment Commissioning at the BBC. Executive Producers for Monkey are Will Macdonald and Andy Price. The Commissioning Editor for the BBC is Pinki Chambers.

The original US show is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio, in association with Fallon’s production company, Electric Hot Dog, for NBC. A second season was recently commissioned after season one reached more than 250 million views across linear, digital and social platforms. It remains NBC’s best ever digital launch for an unscripted programme.

The hit show is licensed by NBCUniversal Formats, which is also part of Universal International Studios. A local version entitled Stéréo Club recently debuted with great success in France on TF1 fronted by Camille Combal.
