Lee Mack Hosts The 1% Club Quiz

Lee Mack hosts The 1% Club Quiz

Quickfire comedian Lee Mack is on a bit of a roll at the moment. Over on BBC One he is co-host of Freeze The Fear With Wim Hof with Holly Willoughby and it looks like he has another hit on his hands with primetime quiz show The 1% Club.

Have you ever wondered how clever you are? Do you think you might be in the top 50% of the country? The top 10% Or even the top 1%? This is your chance to find out as Mack hosts the brand new quiz.

The 1% Club is the ultimate leveller. It doesn’t matter if you’re not usually good at quizzes because the questions have nothing to do with remembering facts. They’re all about logic and common sense so it doesn’t matter if you’re 15 or 50, this is the quiz that the whole family can play together. 100 contestants begin every show, but who will make it to the end and answer a question only 1% of the country can get right… and win up to £100,000?

Would I Lie To You? bearded star Mack is an excellent game show host, cracking jokes and mocking the dim contestants but somehow in a nice way. On the latest show when Gary got an easy question about traffic lights wrong Mack asked him, "are you a driver?" Mack had already joked that he was nervous about the question himself as he had nine points on his licence.

He is not afraid of a cheesy joke either, but keeps things clean. After a question about the odds of a coin landing on heads when being tossed a number of times I assumed he would use the word "tosser" about someone who got the answer wrong, but he resisted it.

Sadly nobody won the big prize this week, but you can't have everything.
