Tributes Paid To American Stand Up Bob Saget

Tributes have been paid to American stand-up Bob Saget, who has died aged 65.

Saget had played his last gig at the Ponte Vedre Concert Hall on Saturday night. The venue posted on Instagram: "Ponte Vedra Concert Hall is deeply saddened to learn the news of Bob Saget’s passing yesterday. As he did for decades, Bob provided our community with an abundance of laughter and wit this past Saturday night, and it was a privilege to have hosted him. He was a true talent who brightened our spirits on television, film, and stage for many years, and his family and friends are in our thoughts as we face this truly unfortunate news. Bob, thank you for being the friendly face we’ve all grown comfort in seeing - you are already sorely missed."

After the gig Saget posted: "I'm back in comedy like I was when I was 26. I guess I'm finding my new voice and loving every moment of it."

Reports say that the police found "no signs of foul play or drug use in this case."

Saget was famous for playing Danny Tanner on the television show Full House and was a widely respected stand-up. His Full House c0o-star John Stamos tweeted: "I am broken. I am gutted.  I am in complete and utter shock.  I will never ever have another friend like him.  I love you so much Bobby."

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen said: "Bob was the most loving, compassionate and generous man. We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has.”

Candace Cameron Bure tweeted an emoji of a broken heart and wrote: "I don’t know what to say. I have no words. Bob was one of the best humans beings I’ve ever known in my life. I loved him so much."
