Stars Come Out To Ask Adele Questions In An Audience With Adele

Dawn French and Samuel L Jackson were just two of the stars who got to ask Adele questions during An Audience With Adele, filmed at the Palladium to celebrate the release of her new album 30.

The celebrity audience included Alan Carr, Michael McIntyre, Boy George, Emma Thompson, Greg Wise, Stormzy, Emma Watson, Gareth Southgate, Graham Norton, Jodie Comer, Harry Hill, Bryan Cranston, Jonathan Ross, Idris Elba, David Tennant and Richard E Grant.

Dawn French asked Adele if people come up to her and share their break-up stories because she is so relatable.

Twitter suggested that French, sporting short quiffed hair, looked variously, buff, ageless, like MP Emily Thornberry and Sylvester Stallone's ex, Brigitte Nielsen.

Samuel L Jackson used the word "Adelity" to describe Adele.

Alexis tweeted: " nearly passed out when I heard @SamuelLJacksonsay #Adelity to @Adele. Priceless moment! Loved it.

Guy Phwoarkes tweeted: "Fuck me this audience is the weirdest mix of celebs I've ever seen. Harry Hill is sat behind Samuel L. Jackson."

England manager Gareth Southgate thanked her for her support and asked "Of everybody in here tonight who would you most like to collaborate with." Adele answered: "Daniel Kaluuya".

Idris Elba asked: "What's the moment that you are most proud of?" Adele said: "I can't remember much of it but it's headlining Glastonbury. I drove myself there on my own in torrential rain listening to the Spice Girls."

Alan Carr asked "If you're exes wrote a song about you what would it be called?" She said "No-One Like You."

Carr also had to stand in for Adele and conduct a singalong of Make You Feel My Love when she went off to have her make-up touched up after she cried when she was reunited onstage with her childhood teacher.

Twitter was impressed by both Adele and the calibre of the audience. Shane Reaction also commented on the quality of the audience: "Yeah, Samuel L Jackson on #AnAudienceWithAdele is impressive but I miss the good old days of 1998 when these An Audience With shows were filled to the rafters with the likes of Anthea Turner, Linda Barker and Des Barnes from Coronation Street."

Everyone laughed when Adele presumably said a swear word that was bleeped out and restarted Easy on Me. One fan tweeted: "Mad that her first take sounded perfect to me, she must’ve not hit something. She started again and it sounds even better."

Anton Shuter tweeted: "When you listen to her speak to the audience in her Essex tone, you’d never think she’d sing like she does."
