Actor Tony Selby Dies

Actor Tony Selby has died. His agents LCM posted the news on social media.

"With great sadness we announce that actor Tony Selby passed away peacefully in London yesterday. In a career spanning 70 years in theatre, film and TV, Tony was highly respected and loved by family, friends and colleagues. His renowned sense of humour will be missed by us all."

Selby was known to many for his role in the hit ITV National Service comedy Get Some In!, alongside Robert Lindsay. He also appeared with Lindsay more recently in My Family. He also appeared with Karl Howman in the quirky sitcom Mulberry.

Dr Who fans would know him for playing the character Sabalom Glitz.

He was also in Minder, Love Hurts and EastEnders and in films including Alfie, Poor Cow and Witchfinder General.

Selby was 83.
