House Of Games Guests This Week

After a blip a couple of weeks ago when Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall was crowned champion, Joe Thomas was another comedy winner of Richard Osman's House of Games last week.

Comedians have a phenomenal record on this show, winning week after week, series after series. Last November Brighton-based Angela Barnes, who recently got married, became the first contestant to win all five shows on the trot.

Since then winners have included Mae Martin, Marcus Brigstocke, Mark Watson and in the first show in the current series Olga Koch. We suspected for a long time that comedians were smart and fast-thinking, Richard Osman's House of Games just confirms our theory.

This week's show has a mixture of competitors. JJ Chalmers, Victoria Derbyshire and Strictly's Kevin Clifton are the three non-stand-up civilians. The comedy content is provided by Kemah Bob, a quickfire American stand-up who was making waves on the UK circuit before Covid and is now making up for lost time. Bob could find things a bit sticky if the questions are too parochial and too based on obscure English things, so let's see how she does...

Richard Osman's House of Games, Monday, September 6 - Friday September 10, 6pm, BBC Two (no episode Thursday, double episode Friday)
